7) Wisdom tooth surgery (Impaction)
When someone tells you he has an impacted wisdom tooth or if your dentist tells you that you have an impacted wisdom tooth, it generally means that your wisdom tooth is erupted in an unnatural position. An impacted wisdom tooth more often than not requires wisdom tooth surgery to remove it and x-rays may be necessary to determine the degree of impaction before removal.
8) Crown and Bridge: A crown is a type of dental restoration which completely caps or encircles a tooth or dental implant and is typically bonded to the tooth using a dental cement.
A bridge, also known as a fixed partial denture, is a dental restoration used to replace a missing tooth by joining permanently to adjacent teeth or dental implants.
9) Tooth coloured filings: Tooth-colored fillings, or posterior composite resins, can be used to replace unsightly silver or dark fillings. This gives the teeth a more natural appearance. This bonding procedure for the back teeth takes a bit more time and costs slightly more than silver/mercury fillings, but the esthetic results are amazing.
10) Root Canal Treatments: Root canal is a dental procedure which helps in removing the entire internal parts, mainly pulp chamber of the tooth. It also involves the filling of the prepared empty cavity with a suitable bio-compatible material. This procedure is done and advised only when the tooth cannot compensate restoring material in a small cavity on the surface.
11) Complete Dentures and Partial Dentures: Dentures are prosthetic devices constructed to replace missing teeth, and which are supported by surrounding soft and hard tissues of the oral cavity. Conventional dentures are removable, however there are many different denture designs, some which rely on bonding or clasping onto teeth or dental implants
12) Night Guard: A dental night guard is an appliance that fits in the mouth and is worn during the night. It is worn to prevent clenching and grinding of the teeth. Night guards can be bought in a store or made by a dentist. They are most often made from silicone or molded plastic. Most night guards are shaped like a U and fit easily into the mouth. Since no two mouths are exactly the same, on occasion a night guard may need modified to become a better fit.
13) Scaling and polishing of teeth: Scaling may be defined as a procedure to remove calculus (tartar), soft deposits (plaque) and stains from the teeth. Calculus removal is part of each professional tooth cleaning. Tooth polishing removes plaque or stains remaining on the teeth after thorough scaling. The purpose of polishing tooth surfaces is to make these surfaces smooth which makes it more difficult for plaque and debris to accumulate on your teeth to cause decay or gum disease.
14) Orthodontic treatment: Orthodontics is the specialty of dentistry that is concerned with the study and treatment of malocclusions (improper bites), which may be a result of tooth irregularity, disproportionate jaw relationships, or both. Orthodontic treatment can focus on dental displacement only, or can deal with the control and modification of facial growth
15) Bloodless incision for frenectomy and any other soft tissue growth
